Baron Gérard Museum – Bayeux, France

Architectural mesh for facade

The new redistribution of the Baron Gérard Museum, located in the former Bayeux Episcopal Palace, allowed the architectural studio Millet Chilou & Associés to add some contemporary elements and to improve the natural light entering the former Episcopal Palace.

On the rear façade, a light façade has been added which, while bringing in natural light, diffuses it with Codina Architectural’s AALTO metal mesh. Attached to the structure using the TF-50 fastening system, the result is a technical intervention that puts a decorative arts museum ahead of the curve.
