Françoise Héritier Secondary School – Noisy-Le-Sec, France

Architectural mesh for facade

The Françoise Héritier secondary school in Noisy-Le-Sec is striking because of its large dimensions, structured around a courtyard, and the linearity of the different façade planes. However, the approach to the enclosure is strictly functional, with a low-impact visual aesthetic.

The educational facility covers an area of more than 5,000 m2 and includes various architectural safety elements that the architecture studio Atelier d’Architecture Malisan has custom-designed. One of these elements has been applied to the lower windows where a stainless steel Torroja F wire mesh enclosure has been incorporated. In addition to preventing break-ins, it provides shade and privacy for the classrooms at street level. This project was carried out in collaboration with our distributor in France, Maille Metal Design.
